THE BCA DIFFERENCE

Our Unique Approach

We understand that individuals on the autism spectrum thrive when they have multiple opportunities to learn and practice their skills in a variety of settings. That’s why our year-round program provides an enriching 1:1 teaching environment, which is the cornerstone of our approach. Each client is supported by a dedicated treatment team that designs an individualized instruction plan tailored to their unique learning style. When appropriate and beneficial for our clients, we offer group therapy sessions to support social skills training and foster peer Interactions.

Our program further includes prevocational training and community-based services to equip our clients with experiences that develop and improve meaningful communication skills. Our organization is guided by the principles and methodologies of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and is accredited by the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence.

PREVOCATIONAL PROGRAM

Program Spotlight

Designed for ages 18+, our Prevocational Training Program exposes our young adult clients to real-life social and workplace experiences. This program offers our clients the opportunity to apply the prevocational skills they’ve mastered during their time at BCA, empowering them to develop a sense of purpose and belonging within their community.

One of our prevocational program partners is Lifeline. Lifeline Louisville Centre is a place for the Louisville community to come together to address the problem of world hunger. Regardless of age or ability, members of this program apply skills that they’ve learned and practiced at BCA to make a difference. In this program, BCA clients work with Lifeline to pack shelf stable meals for families and children who struggle with hunger and malnutrition. Not only do our prevocational program clients pack meals for those affected here in Louisville, they also package meals that are shipped out worldwide.
